The Perfect Power Couple Workout to Celebrate Valentine’s Day Together

Sweat together this Valentine’s Day. 

For all the serial monogamists out there who’ve tired of customary Valentine’s Day traditions—it’s time to switch things up.

This high-intensity workout designed by Andy Cannon, a popular Gymondo trainer, is perfect for the power couple who wants to stay fit—even on the most romantic day of the year. 

And hey, if you’re flying solo, nothing’s stopping you from getting your sweat on. This one’s for you, too!

The Perfect Power Couple Workout 

Get your heart rate up and your body fat down in just 15 minutes with this high-intensity interval training (HIIT) workout. Prepare for 5 intense rounds of 3 fat-burning exercises. Each round is repeated twice with a 10- to 20-second break in-between sets. Once you repeat each round 3 times, rest for 60 seconds before starting the next round. Grab your timer (and your partner) and get started! 

Round 1

Round 1 consists of 3 exercises, 10 repetitions each. Complete all three exercises (squats, half burpees and mountain climbers) as quickly as possible with good technique. Rest 10-20 seconds before your next set. After you finish three sets, take a 60-second break before heading into round 2.

Round 4 is all about power couples powering through together! Complete 10 reps of power knees on each leg followed by 10 power jacks. Head into sets 2 and 3 with the same intensity. And don’t forget to high-five your partner!
