These G.A.L.s (Gymondo’s Awesome Ladies) are the reason it’s great to be a woman in 2022.
Winners of Gymondo’s #CelebrateHer campaign, these 6 G.A.L.s were nominated by those who felt inspired and empowered in their presence. Here are their inspiring stories.
Heidi Schwarz
Who doesn’t love a good mother-daughter story? Sari nominated her mom Heidi as her G.A.L. Here’s why:
“My mom always encourages me to grow beyond my current self and aspires me to be the best version of my future self. Even when life gets dark, she’s my anchor home. The ultimate supporter, she gives me the feeling of security while still motivating me to tackle difficult problems that life sometimes throws my way.
“But it’s not just about me—she never stops believing in others and helps everyone around her to become the best version of themselves. Only now, has she switched the focus to herself and started to love and accept all of who she is. That deserves applause!”
Diana Leiding
According to friend and nominator Catalina, “my G.A.L., Diana sets and pursues goals with tenacity, which is incredibly inspiring and motivating to see. Even more inspiring is the fact that she never gives up, even when she hits roadblocks. Thanks to Diana, I now stick to my own goals and try not to give up, even when the going gets tough. Without her, I wouldn’t be where I am today. Thanks to my G.A.L. for simply existing. Life is better with her in it.”
Helena Kolb
When Krystina saw Gymondo’s Instagram post promoting its G.A.L. campaign, she immediately thought of her friend Helena.
“A little over a year ago, Helena and I found Gymondo together. She’s still rocking the fitness programs and often suggests workouts to me that she thinks I might like. Her passion for fitness extends into other areas of her life. Everything she starts, she approaches with passion, motivation and lots of fun. I’m so grateful to have her in my life.”
Kim Gerke
Kim is a professional dancer based in Berlin. If Kim’s not performing, she enjoys riding her bike around town, reading a good book or focusing on her own self-care routine.
According to her close friend and nominator Anastasia, “my G.A.L Kim always holds space for me to express my feelings and follows it up with extremely helpful advice. I love my llama mama and she loves me.”
Isabella Klütz
Isabella’s into fashion and loves spending time outdoors while listening to good electronic music from the 80s and 90s. She’s a dog lover and shows both animals and people love and kindness.
Her friend Lisa nominated her because “you can rely on Isabella at any time and she’s always there to build you up, even when you’re down. She fills the room with good energy and positivity. I love you, GAL.”
Kim Crossman
Here’s what her nominator Alice had to say about Kim.
“Kim’s my gym and yoga buddy and she’s killing it as a Customer Success Manager in tech sales. She inspires me every day with her kindness and positivity and brings joy to everyone she meets!”
