Accessibility Statement for the services of Gymondo

At Gymondo, we believe that fitness should be accessible to everyone. Our goal is to provide an inclusive digital experience across all our platforms - including our website, mobile applications (iOS and Android), and smart TV interfaces - so that users of all abilities can access health and wellness resources without limitations.

This statement outlines our ongoing efforts to ensure a welcoming and user-friendly experience for all individuals engaging with Gymondo.

Our Commitment

We recognize accessibility as a core principle of equal digital participation. Our team is dedicated to removing barriers that could prevent individuals with disabilities from using our services effectively, whether they’re starting a workout, following a plan, or interacting with content.

Purpose of Gymondo

Gymondo is a digital platform for holistic training and a healthy lifestyle. Users have access to fitness classes, training plans, recipe suggestions, and individual recommendations – anytime, anywhere, and on various devices.

Functionality of our service

1. Access to the platform

Gymondo's content is available via the website www.gymondo.de/en, as well as via the mobile app for iOS, Android, Smart TVs, and some streaming devices.

2. Registration and usage

Users create a user account and can purchase a paid subscription. After login, personalized training and nutrition recommendations are available.

3. Training structure

  • Trainings are divided into programs (e.g., 'Weight Loss', 'Back Fit', 'HIIT', 'Yoga for Beginners')
  • Each program contains several video units with clear instructions.
  • Exercises are guided by experienced trainers.

4. Additional functions

  • Nutrition plans with customizable recipes.
  • Progress tracking (training duration, calories, repetitions)
  • Integration of Wearables (e.g., Apple Health, Google Fit).

Implementation of accessibility

To support an accessible environment, we aim to follow the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA. These internationally recognized standards guide us in creating interfaces that support various assistive technologies, including screen readers and keyboard navigation.

Website

We currently have the following accessibility measures implemented for the Gymondo website:

  • Keyboard-friendly navigation, ensuring users can browse without a mouse.
  • Responsive design for seamless viewing on various devices and screen sizes.
  • High-contrast color schemes to enhance visibility.
  • Logical heading structure
  • Resizable text
  • Description of Gymondo in “Easy Language”

Mobile app

Our mobile apps, available on iOS and Android, currently provide basic compatibility with native accessibility tools such as VoiceOver and TalkBack. Users may also adjust system settings like text size or contrast to personalize their experience. However, we acknowledge that these functionalities are not yet optimized within our app.

At this stage, elements such as buttons, images, and interface components may lack proper accessibility labels, which can limit effective navigation and usability for screen reader users. Similarly, while the operating system’s text enlargement feature can be activated, some areas of the app may not respond reliably to dynamic type settings.

We recognize that these limitations can create barriers for users who rely on assistive technologies, and we are committed to addressing them. Improving accessibility across our mobile platforms is a priority in our development roadmap.

Continuous Improvement

Accessibility is not a one-time effort - it’s an ongoing process. We regularly assess our digital platforms for accessibility compliance and implement enhancements based on user feedback and evolving best practices.

Feedback and Support

We welcome your input to help us identify and address any accessibility issues. Your experiences and suggestions are valuable in helping us create a better, more inclusive platform for everyone.
